I was reflecting back during the time I struggled with low self-esteem, depression, and countless setbacks as a result... ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
And I realized that there are some key differences between how I operated in the past to where I am now.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Most of you already know that having low self-esteem, feeling different, feeling like you don’t fit….  All of this is extremely painful
⁣⁣
Before I truly wanted to  improve and find out why I struggled with... ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
👉 Self-doubt⁣⁣
👉 Confidence⁣⁣
👉 Constantly being anxious while trying to interact with others
👉 Putting attention on the negative instead of the positive⁣⁣
⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Most of these concepts held me back mentally and living a life where I was unable to control my future because lack of confidence, not knowing my potential, and fear dictated how I functioned.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
When you spend your time focusing on the negative in your life... ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
It will affect how you show up and perform on a daily basis.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Instead of focusing on how I could master my self-esteem and find out why it was so low,  
⁣⁣
I wasted most of my life self-sabotaging myself for having low self-esteem, lack of confidence, feeling different, feeling like I don’t fit in.
⁣⁣
When I first discovered the “why”, I was so excited from the rush that I wanted to shout from the mountain tops, but that lasted only a few days.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Because analysis paralysis and shame set in.

So what changed?⁣⁣
⁣⁣
I realized through reflection that I wasted a lot of time worrying about my circumstances and the things that were going WRONG in my life instead of taking the time to change myself so I could operate at my fullest potential.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Once I started to focus on “WHY” I wanted to move forward with change. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
I started to build more connections, attract more life-changing opportunities, and operate at a different level than I ever expected. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Believe it or not, I even stopped worrying about what others thought about me.
⁣⁣
You see, I made an uncomfortable decision to change my mindset.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
I decided to push my feelings aside because it only elevated my anxiety, worry, and fear... ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
& focused more on growth, positivity, and living a life where I feel confident.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
When you operate at this level with the correct intentions, not only do you skyrocket in your growth, but you actually achieve your results much faster.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
If you want to be a high functioning individual, it's important to realize that not only rewiring your mindset is a MUST if you truly want to make a difference but discover who you really are.
⁣⁣
The reason why most people struggle with their self image is simply they focus on fear, anxiety, and self-doubt... ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Instead of focusing on their mindset, attitude and taking the action to CHANGE their circumstances.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
It has been proven time and time again that taking consistent action and having a positive mindset is what ACTUALLY produces results.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Growth is NOT supposed to be easy.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
But would it be worth it to make an uncomfortable decision now, so you can be the high functioning individual you are meant to be?

Self-Awareness

What does it mean to be self-aware?  According to the Oxford dictionary, it means "knowledge and understanding your character.  

Now, according to "The Self-awareness Guy". he states that self-awareness is a state of being where you deeply understand your own thoughts, emotions & behaviours, how they affect you & the world around you.  When you are self-aware, you are not simply existing or reacting to your environment but living a life that is fulfilling & meaningful.  You are the real you and you do things that reflect who you are deep inside.

Really, there is no great mystery around being self-aware.  It is not about being perfect, far from it, it is about be comfortable with yourself thereby making sure others around you feel the same way.  All it is - is becoming the best possible version of yourself.

So self-awareness for the highly sensitive means recognizing your sensitivity by working on yourself each day, becoming more aware of who you really are as a person, so that you can become the high functioning individual you are meant to be, treating yourself and others with kindness.
